CDS's Book Review on Permission to Screw Up by Kristen Hadeed
Kristen Hadeed unintentionally launched Student Maid, a cleaning company that hires students, while attending the University of Florida in 2007. Since then, Student Maid has employed hundreds of people and is widely recognised for its industry-leading retention rate and its culture of trust, accountability, and compassion.
In this book she candidly talks about the leadership mistakes she has made and the lessons she learnt on the way to success. It is written with great humour and humility. It also provides an insight into how this young entrepreneur went about developing the next generation of leaders as well as attracting, recruiting and engaging a workforce of millennials.
