CDS’s Consultant and Coaches Virtual Conference
A large and crucial part of the CDS team is our highly skilled and knowledgeable consultants and coaches who work directly with our clients on a one to one basis.
The core CDS team and our consultants and coaches are scattered throughout the country, which is brilliant for the needs of our clients, but can sometimes be tricky for us to all get together in the same place at the same time!
Under normal circumstances we understand the importance of staying connected as a team, being able to share thoughts and information from within our industry and under the current restrictions of working ,now even more so. Continual Professional development has never been so important.
In normal years we hold an annual conferences and invite the entire CDS team to attend, but with the current restrictions this has obviously not been possible. With this is mind we decided to hold our first virtual conference via MS Teams. The Conference was a great success with a large number of our colleagues joining us for the event. It was a great opportunity for us to discuss our individual experiences of this unique year and look forward to plans for the business for 2021.
One of the most powerful sessions was led by CDS Coach Nigel Holland sharing an overview of the new CDS Resilience Framework. The pandemic has brought a great awareness of,and importance on employee well being and mental health to organisations, with employers recognising that many people are suffering with Insecurity, depression, isolation, lack of communication and health and financial worries.
The CDS Resilience framework sets out to help coach people through a number of stages in order for them to become more resilient in facing and overcoming issues effecting their wellbeing and mental health.
The session was very well received and thought provoking, not only for use with our clients, but for some self-reflection. We all massively enjoyed the session and the opportunity to share our thoughts and ideas with a group of likeminded individuals. We had great feedback on the session and decided that we need to make this a more regular event especially during these tough times, we will hold monthly ‘coffee mornings’ where we can all get tighter and discuss a relevant topic.
